Authors Note: Jekyll speaks of his reasons for every little thing that he does. He explains the controlling of Hyde with the drugs, his will, and even his day by day processes. He also reveals that he would kill himself in order to keep Hyde at bay for eternity. It was a pretty risky move and a last resort, but he must have felt it necessary enough to do so.
You never really know a persons real personality until they are put into a sticky situation. They will react in a particular way that will show who they really are, and possibly even what they really think of you. In a moment of desperation, they will lash out at anything in their path until they fix the occuring problem, or they will sit back and let things transpire until they disappear. Hard situations can bring out the worst in people, and that is when they show their true selves.
